Team of the Week – Round 20

GK: Mitch Pill – Strong game, dominated his area. Lost his clean sheet by no fault of his own.

CB: Daniel Simpson – His run of impressive form continued with a consistent game in reserves before a great cameo in firsts.

CB: Cristian Apolloni – Won everything in the air for youth and was unlucky not to score.

CB: Anthony Oliver – Was one of the very few performers as firsts went down to Highlands. Moved up to provide attacking threat when it was possible.

RM: Matt Quigley – Put himself around the pitch well for 90 minutes. Wonderful assist for Dale Schmid’s goal in reserve grade.

CM: Travis Faulks – The birthday boy got his defensive work done brilliantly in reserves.

CM: Luke Buckley – Dominated the midfield in youth with a stamina draining performance while adding an assist to Daniel Vardareff’s first.

LM: Anthony Vardareff – Scored the first goal in youth, creating something out of nothing. Did his defensive duties without fuss.

AM: Jake Morgan – Great attacking game from the young star. Unlucky not to score on more then one occasion.

ST: Josh Faulks – Took his opportunity very smartly in reserves, dinking the keeper smartly after beating the offside trap.

ST: Daniel Vardareff – An inspired double included a freak flick goal which lobbed the keeper. Held the ball up well.

Coach: Greg Waters – Reserve grade battled hard and will claim the minor premiership with a win against Kemblawarra.

GK: Chris Todd – Made some sharp saves to keep the 1st placed Rosellas scoreless

RB: Daniel Simpson – Scored the opener in reserves and helped in keeping the clean sheet.

CB: Brent Wilson – Marshalled his defence well and scored a great equalizer in reserves.

CB: Cristian Apolloni – Won everything in the air and kept a clean sheet.

LB: Frank Timpano – Mongrel shown at all times and great distribution up the line.

RM: Josh Buckley – Battled hard and never gave up.

CM: Jeremy Winner – Gutsy effort with only one good knee.

CM: Luke Buckley – Put himself around the park and showed fantastic initiative.

LM: Jeff North – Threatened to score all afternoon in firsts but found himself going narrowly wide.

ST: Josh Faulks – Fantastic run and finish for the first goal in reserves. Worked hard up front.

ST: Jackson Dummett – Made a menace of himself all afternoon and should have had a couple of assists had the finishes been more clinical

Coach: Steve Buckley – Led reserve grade to a gutsy win.

GK: Mitch Pill – Kept his clean sheet but had more saves to make then Conor McGoldrick.

CB: Daniel Simpson – Scored the opener in reserves and helped in keeping the clean sheet.

SW: Ryan Trevor – Strong and composed at the back to keep a clean sheet.

CB: Johno McCreary – Threw his weight around well with great short ball distribution

RM: Jordan Hughes – Player of the Day. Hat-trick in youth grade and the full 90 minutes and two assists in reserve grade where he played 70 minutes.

CM: Jeremy Winner – Once again controlled the game in reserves and made a difference when he came on at half time for first grade.

CM: Luke Buckley – Industrious with his work in the middle of the park for youth grade.

LM: Anthony Vardareff – 2 assists in youth grade. Caused headaches all game.

AM: Jake Morgan – A goal in youth and another in reserves of a smartly taken free kick. Provided creativity in youth grade.

ST: James Seymour – 2 Goals for youth grade in there top of the table victory.

ST: Daniel Vardareff – Slow game in youths with one goal but a better showing when he came on at half time in reserves and nodded another goal home.

Coach: David Clay – Engineered the Under 20′s to a 9-0 win over second placed Wests.
